We've asked Zhe Zhao from China why he decided to do a DPhil project in the Nuffield Department of Medicine. He also talks about his research and his experience living in Oxford.

Zhe Zhao, from China, joined Oxford in 2010, after completing an undergraduate degree in Biological Science at Tsinghua University in Beijing and a Msc at Leiden University Medical Centre in the Netherlands.
Zhe completed a DPhil titled Transcription Regulation of Nrp1 During Endothelial Cell Differentiation in 2014, under the supervision of Dr Sarah De Val.

NDM Prize Studentship

Every year, about 60 DPhil students start a life changing experience in the Nuffield Department of Medicine in Oxford.

NDM Prize Studentships are advertised from October in Nature and online, and have a closing deadline of early January each year, with interviews taking place towards the end of January. The candidates are judged on the basis of their academic and research potential. The Prize Studentships are open to graduate students from all countries.
